Stacey J. Rees, CNM, MA is a graduate of Barnard College, Princeton University, Columbia University School of Nursing, and the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing. She has been a midwife since 2001. Stacey is a long-time reproductive rights and health activist. Along with her clinical work (at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn and later at Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center) she was part-time Program Director of the Soros Reproductive Health and Rights Fellowship at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health prior to starting Clementine. Stacey did all of her midwifery training at the Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center; she also worked there as a nurse and a midwife before ESCbC closed. Although she was born in California she considers herself a native New Yorker. She lives in Brooklyn.
Cori Pleune, Office Manager and Birth Assistant

Cori Pleune is so happy to be helping Stacey out in the Clementine office and at homebirths! She is a co-founder of Dos Doulas and is a DONA Certified Birth Doula, certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator, and trained Postpartum Doula. She has attended midwifery assistant trainings at The Farm in Tennessee and with Stacey Rees in Brooklyn. She is certified with the American Red Cross in adult/child/infant CPR, and has completed workshops to help women breastfeed successfully. Cori attended her first birth in 1996 and has been hooked ever since. Her hobbies are knitting, reading good books and playing fetch with Gerdie the dog. She is the proud mama of Oliver "Ollie" Cash Pleune born at home in May of 2009.

Charlotte Bacon has two children, 10 and 3, both born with midwives. While living in Bali, Indonesia, she worked at Bumi Sehat, the clinic run by midwife Robin Lim. She is also a writer and a teacher.

Sarah birthed her son, Jacob, 20 years ago and has supported women in labor ever since. Her hobbies are Aikido, drawing, making sock creatures and snuggling with Django the uber mutt.

Nicole Mead is a midwifery and women's health nurse practitioner student at Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing. She is an RN on a labor and delivery unit here in the city. She lives in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn with her wonderful husband and loves to run, bike, cook and bake (then eat...) and explore. She has researched and provided care to women and families since 2002 both in the United States and abroad.
Sarah Moore, Birth Assistant

Sarah Moore has a BA from Brown University, an MA from NYU and has been teaching and working with families in New York City for 14 years. Her work in the childbirth community began after the births of her two children, Lola and Oscar. She is a certified labor support doula and childbirth educator and has served as secretary on the board of the Childbirth Education Association of Metropolitan New York (CEA/MNY). In addition to teaching childbirth prep classes in Brooklyn, Sarah provides colic support for families throughout the city.

Terry Richmond is an experienced birth doula and childbirth educator who is honored to have attended over 300 births since she began this work in 2002. Formerly a broadway actress, Terry now devotes her time to serving on the board of Choices in Childbirth and raising her magnificent son ( and inspiration), Emory.
