Abby Howe-Heyman, CNM is a graduate of Smith College, Columbia University School of Nursing, and SUNY Downstate Health Science Center in Brooklyn's Midwifery Education Program. She has been a midwife since 2000 and worked at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in the South Bronx prior to starting Clementine. Additionally, she was a nurse at Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center for two years while she completed her midwifery training. Abby lives in Manhattan with her husband, Joe; they have two wonderful children, Ned and Delia, who were both born at home. |

Stacey J. Rees, CNM, MA is a graduate of Barnard College, Princeton University, Columbia University School of Nursing, and the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing. She has been a midwife since 2001. Stacey is a long-time reproductive rights and health activist. Along with her clinical work (at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn and later at Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center) she was part-time Program Director of the Soros Reproductive Health and Rights Fellowship at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health prior to starting Clementine. Stacey did all of her midwifery training at the Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center; she also worked there as a nurse and a midwife before ESCbC closed. Although she was born in California she considers herself a native New Yorker. She lives in Manhattan.
