Stacey J. Rees, CNM, MA is a graduate of Barnard College, Princeton University, Columbia University School of Nursing, and the Frontier Nursing University. She has been a midwife since 2001. Stacey is a long-time reproductive rights and health activist. Along with her clinical work she was part-time Program Director of the Soros Reproductive Health and Rights Fellowship at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health prior to starting Clementine. Stacey did much of her midwifery training at the Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center, an out-of-hospital birth center in New York City. Born in California she nonetheless considers herself a native New Yorker. She lives in Brooklyn for the moment but she and her family are planning to move to Maine in the summer of 2015.
